A good canvas depends on what sits beneath the image. We use a finely woven poly-cotton canvas, accurate large-format printing and a solid pine frame, then check and finish every print by hand.

Before printing, a real person considers the crop, subject placement, image quality and finished size. We cannot turn every unsuitable file into a perfect print, but we will not knowingly send a poor result to the wall.

What type of canvas do you use?
We print on 230gsm poly-cotton canvas using an Epson SC-P20000, then stretch the print over a solid pine frame and finish it by hand in our Yorkshire workshop.
What is the difference between Slim and Chunky canvas?
Slim canvas uses a 0.75-inch-deep frame; Chunky canvas uses a 1.75-inch-deep frame for more projection from the wall. Canvas Creator shows which depths are available for your selected size.
Can I choose what appears around the canvas edges?
Yes. Depending on the selected size, Canvas Creator offers Gallery wrap, Mirror sides, White sides and colour sides so you can choose the finish that best suits the photograph.
Can you help position my photograph?
Yes. You can position the crop yourself or select studio positioning help and ask a real person to consider the final crop and subject placement before printing.
Can I order a custom canvas size?
Yes. Enter your required width and height in Canvas Creator. It shows the exact current price and the finishing options available for that custom size before you order.
