Limited Edition Giclee Prints Of Obama On EBAY

When Oprah Winfrey held up a copy of the November 5th Chicago Sun Times and said it was the best post-election front page in the world, it sparked a worldwide demand for the image.

Collectors can now purchase a limited edition high-gloss giclee print of the November 5th Barack Obama victory cover through eBay.com.

The Chicago Sun Times sold more than 700,000 copies of the paper on November 5th - one of the best selling issues in the newspaper's 60 year history. Willie Wilkov, senior director of promotions and marketing for the Chicago Sun-Times News Group, explained the benefits of purchasing the giclee print: "With the newspaper, the value is to the individual because it's part of history. But the print is a super-premium item with a finite number, so its long-term value is going to be higher."

Wilkov went on to describe why he thought the image had proved so popular: "I think it's the simplicity of it - less is more," he said. "It's an iconic image, and the 'Mr. President' line summarized the whole point with very few words."

The high-gloss giclee prints have been hand-made by Printmakers Chicago and are signed for authenticity.

Only 44 prints will be made available to the public for purchase to commemorate the election of Barack Obama as America's 44th president. They will be made available through eBay in stages.

The expensive price will be off-putting for many; however there is a much cheaper alternative.

Upload the image of your choice to yourimage2canvas.co.uk and get it printed onto canvas for a high quality piece of wall art at a fraction of the cost. If you are so inclined, you can even use free Barack Obama images off the official website at www.barackobama.com.
