The best camera review websites

Looking for a new digital camera can be a daunting task, but, as always, the internet comes to the rescue with tonnes of awesome camera review websites to help you choose. But, as is often the case, figuring out which reviews to trust can be as challenging as finding the right camera for you!

Don’t worry, though, because that’s where we come in... with our quick guide to the best camera review sites of them all.

Digital Photography Review

Digital Photography Review (or DP Review for short) is the number one review site on the internet and offers extensive reviews of almost every digital camera ever made. If you’re the techy type, you can dive into page after page of data and comparisons, or you can simply skip to the conclusions and sample images – it works great for every type of user, and that’s why it’s the best.

DxOMark

If the most important thing to you is image quality, a trip to DxOMark is essential because these guys really care about IQ! They’ve become the industry standard in camera sensor testing and have developed a scientific method and protocol to determine the best camera sensors in everything from smartphones to the best medium format cameras. Don’t, however, expect any useful info on usability because DxOMark is all about the final product.

Steve Huff Photo

If you’re looking for a great photographer to give you real-world reviews, we think that Steve Huff and his 25 years of shooting experience might be for you. There’s less technical information here, but Steve Huff Photo is one of the most accessible camera review websites around, and his warm and friendly manner makes choosing the right camera for you much less challenging.

Camera Labs

Camera Labs is similar to DP Review in that it offers quite in-depth evaluations, but we have to say that we prefer the layout here. The homepage offers a quick and easy link to their opinions on the best cameras in every class, so you don’t need to trawl through the website to hunt out a particular review. The reviews are honest, well structured and no-nonsense, so be sure to check them out on your hunt for a new camera.

We hope that our guide to the best camera review websites will support you in finding your perfect camera – and ultimately help you to produce some fantastic images to print onto canvas!
