Students Launch Canvas Printing Service With Football Team

A group of sixth form students from Hartlepool have started a new business selling canvas prints of action shots of Hartlepool United players, in conjunction with the team itself.

The students have won a contract to produce and sell the canvases for the football team for a year. They will print the pictures using state of the art canvas printing equipment and will charge various prices depending on the size and shape of the canvases.

A spokesperson from the college says, "the club have kindly agreed that we can produce the images…As time goes by we hope that it becomes a very successful venture.”

The students get a cut of the amount they sell, and 35% goes to the football club to be invested in their youth scheme. The rest is spent on covering the college’s costs for the project.

Hartlepool United’s spokesman, Mark Simpson, says the club’s supporters are big fans of canvas prints, “we were really keen to get involved because the quality of the canvasses is excellent, and we are very confident that they will be very popular with our supporters."
