Top Five Canvas Printers
At Your Image 2 Canvas we’re dedicated to delivering the best canvas prints available our customers using our large format printers, but if you’d like to have a go at making your own, these are our top five canvas printers for the home market, plus a look at our personal favourite that we use here.
HP DesignJet T120 24" A1 ePrinter CQ891A – approx £640
With WiFi and internet connectivity, the T120 is capable of creating canvas prints up to A1 remotely from your laptop, tablet or even phone! With 1200 x 1200 optimised dpi, you can guarantee that your images will look fantastic, and at around £640 it’s not bad value for the home or office.
Canon Pixma Pro 100s – approx £350
If you don’t need to print images as large as A1, we recommend taking a look at one of our favourite budget canvas printers – the Canon Pixma Pro 100s. This pro 8-ink dye based printer will handle canvases up to A3 and will work with Mac, Windows or Android operating systems remotely.
Canon imagePROGRAF Pro-1000 – approx £750
The second Canon printer to appear in our list is the spectacular imagePROGRAF Pro-100 – a canvas printer that’s capable of producing magical prints thanks to its revolutionary 12-ink colour system. With front-loading 80ml cartridges, the Pro-1000 makes printing up to A2 a breeze, and guarantees to deliver consistently professional results at a very reasonable price.
Epson SureColor SC-P600 – approx £550
No printer list would be complete without an entry from Epson – a company who’ve been making top-quality print equipment since 1961.
The mid-range SC-P600 offers excellent value for money that will blow you away when you see the canvas prints it turns out. With the deepest blacks and a colour range wide enough for any photographer, this is a definite contender for best value A3+ canvas printer on the market.
Epson SureColour SC-P20000
Okay, so we’ll admit it, the P20000 isn’t exactly a home/office printer at around £10,000 and 171kg in weight, but it is the best printer that we’ve ever used. You’ll be pleased to know that every canvas you order from us will be printed on this large format, super-high resolution beast, capable of producing 64” wide and any length canvases at 2400 x 1200 dpi.
Diving into the world of home canvas printing is a fun way to breathe some new life into your photography hobby, but if you’re not sure whether to go down that route you know you can always rely on us!
