YI2C’s free photo collage maker lets you arrange photographs in a layout and download the finished collage as a JPG. Choose Free JPG £0 for a digital file without a watermark, sign-up or payment. Canvas and Poster printing are optional.

For this guide, we made a Four Square collage with four stock photographs, selected Square orientation and a cream background, and completed the free download. The actual JPG is 3500 × 3500 pixels. This is a demonstration using stock images, not a customer order.
Choose your photographs first
Prepare the original digital files on your device. For this example you need four photographs. Choose images with enough space around important faces and details to suit a square crop; a narrow portrait does not automatically show its entire composition in a square slot.
Use the clearest files you have rather than screenshots of photographs. If your pictures exist only on paper, our DIY old-photo scanning guide explains how to create digital copies first.
Make your collage, step by step
1. Choose a layout and free finish
Open the Collage creator. In Layout, choose the number of photographs and select a matching design. We filtered to four photographs and selected Four Square. Choose Free JPG £0 as the outcome and Square as the orientation. The desktop finish panel shows the total as £0.
The layout determines how many photographs you need and which orientations are offered. This walkthrough covers Four Square; it does not assume every layout has the same shape or number of slots.
2. Add all four photographs
Open Photos, choose Add photographs, and select the files from your device. Wait for them to finish preparing. The counter should show 4 of 4 before you move on. Check which photograph occupies each position rather than relying on the order in your file picker.

3. Inspect the crops
Select a photograph in the preview or Photos panel. On desktop, this exposes the Zoom slider plus Reset, Swap photos and Replace. On mobile, the selected-photo controls include Adjust, Swap photos and Replace. Check the whole composition, particularly faces near the edge. A different photograph may suit a slot better than a much tighter crop.
Our chosen photographs worked at the starting crop, so we kept them there. The exported image above shows the actual result, including the deliberate close-up crops.
4. Set the spacing and background
Open Spacing. The controls for Between photographs and Outer border are separate. We kept both at the displayed 6px setting. These are the creator’s settings, not a claim about a measured six-pixel gap in the full-resolution export.

Open Background and choose the colour visible in those gaps and around the edge. We selected Cream. On mobile, use Done to close a settings panel and return to the collage. Review the overall balance before downloading.
5. Review and download
With all photographs in place and Free JPG selected, choose Review & download on desktop or Finish your collage on mobile. The review shows the finished collage and its free JPG outcome. Check every photograph, then press Download free JPG and let the photographs finish preparing.

Our download was named your-image-2-canvas-four-square.jpg. Find it in your browser’s downloads list or your device’s Downloads folder, then open it to confirm the collage is complete. On a phone, it may be in Files rather than saved automatically to Photos. Keep this JPG separately from the creator session.
What the free download includes
Our square example is a 3500-pixel-wide by 3500-pixel-high JPG, with no visible watermark. It is a single flattened collage image containing all four photographs. It is not four separate exported photos, and it is not a physical print. The verified dimensions apply to the square example here; a different orientation has different proportions.
Optional Canvas or Poster printing
If you want your collage on the wall, see collage print options. Canvas and Poster outcomes are also available in the same creator. Select the format and size and review its price separately. You do not need to order either to keep the free JPG.
Photo collage FAQs
How many photographs do I need?
It depends on the chosen layout. Four Square needs four, as shown in this guide. The Layout panel lists the photograph count and supported orientations for each design; match your selection to the pictures you want to include.
Can I change a photograph after uploading?
Yes. Selecting a photograph exposes Swap photos and Replace controls. Check the preview again after any change.
Can I change the gaps without changing the background?
Yes. Spacing controls the gaps and outer border; Background controls their colour. We used the starting 6px settings with Cream.
Is the downloaded collage free of a watermark?
Yes. The Free JPG review states no watermark, and the downloaded example shown here has none. We completed it without signing up or entering payment details.
