You can create free personalised word art with names, dates and your own wording, then download it as a JPG. Choose Free JPG £0 in YI2C’s Word Art creator. You do not need to buy a Canvas or Poster, create an account or enter payment details to complete that free download.

We made this example with the Our Story design, Blush & Pearl colours and Soft Editorial typography. Mara and Ellis are fictional names; the wording was written for this demonstration. The actual downloaded portrait JPG measures 2475 × 3500 pixels.
Prepare names and a few meaningful words
No photographs are needed for the Our Story design used here. Prepare the names, a short main message and any optional date, place or supporting line you want to include. Write something personal in your own words, and check spelling before downloading.
Our example uses the heading OUR LITTLE ADVENTURES, the names Mara & Ellis, and this main wording:
Early trains. Long walks.
A home full of stories.
The supporting line is Always room for one more chapter. We used York and 21 June 2024 as an example place and date. Replace these details with your own; they are not a customer’s story.
Create your Word Art, step by step
1. Select a design and free outcome
Open the Word Art creator. In Design, choose Our Story to follow this example. The design is made for portrait orientation. Other compositions have their own arrangements and fields, so choose the one that fits the words you want to include.
Select Free JPG £0 under Make it yours. On mobile, the Make it yours button opens the finish choices. Confirm that the digital outcome is selected and the total shows £0.
2. Replace the sample wording
Open Your words. Our Story provides fields for Artwork heading, Names, Main wording, and optional Date, Place and Supporting line. Replace each sample field you intend to use; clear an optional field if you do not want it included.
The interface keeps line breaks and shows word counts, character counts and fit feedback. Our wording showed Fits this space. Still inspect the preview: a technically fitting sentence can be less readable than a shorter, more deliberate phrase.

3. Choose colours and typography
Open Colour. Use Previous and Next to compare palettes, or open View all palettes. We selected Blush & Pearl. The preview lets you see how the background and lettering work together.

Then open Typography and choose a coordinated type style. We used Soft Editorial. The panel also offers Modern Heritage, Bold Contemporary, Textured Character, Natural Handwritten and Poetic Editorial. Recheck your wording after changing the type style because different letter shapes affect the look of a line. On mobile, choose Done to return from an editing panel.
4. Review the free artwork
Under Make it yours, confirm Free JPG £0, then choose Review your artwork. Check the finished preview and the summary: our review showed Our Story, Free JPG, Portrait, 3,500px, Blush & Pearl and Soft Editorial, with a total of £0.00. Use Keep editing if a name, line break or other detail needs correcting.

5. Download and open the JPG
Wait for the artwork to finish preparing, then select Download free JPG. We received the message that the JPG was ready and the download had started. Our file was called yi2c-story.jpg.
Open your browser’s downloads list or your device’s Downloads folder. On mobile, check the Files app if it has not appeared in Photos. Open the file and check the complete design, spelling and line breaks before sharing it.
Download size and what you receive
The downloaded Our Story example is 2475 pixels wide × 3500 pixels high. It is a JPG image without a visible watermark. That measurement belongs to this tested portrait example; do not assume a square or landscape design has the same width and height.
The JPG is a digital artwork file, not an editable document or a physical print. Keep a copy somewhere you can find it. If you need to change the wording, make the change in the creator and download the updated artwork.
Optional: have it printed on Canvas or Poster
The creator also offers paid Canvas and Poster outcomes. See Word Art print options for the available formats, or select a print finish in the creator and check its size and total. A paid print is an optional next step, separate from the free JPG download.
Word Art FAQs
Can I change the names and main message?
Yes. In the tested Our Story design, we replaced the heading, names, main wording, date, place and supporting line. The available fields depend on the design you select.
Do I need to upload a photograph?
No photograph was needed for Our Story. This example was created entirely from text, a colour palette and a typography choice.
Can I keep my line breaks?
Yes. We entered a line break between “Early trains. Long walks.” and “A home full of stories.” and verified it in the downloaded artwork. Check your own final preview after changing fonts or wording.
Do I have to order a print?
No. We downloaded this JPG with a £0 total, without signing up, using a basket or paying. Canvas and Poster are separate optional outcomes.
