The illustrations in this guide are imagined styling examples, not photographs of customer orders or tests of print quality.
Give the three photographs one clear connection, then preserve the best crop for each. That connection might be a place, a subject, a colour palette or matching borders. They do not need to be identical images or use a filter that damages their natural appearance.
A set can hold several moments without squeezing them into one collage. The decisions to make together are the paper dimensions, layout, borders and display—not just which three pictures you like.
Choose one connection for the set
Three coastal views can share light and colour. Three photographs of the same person can show different moments. A wide view, a closer detail and a portrait can tell a story when the layout gives each one a clear role.
Start by placing the chosen files side by side. If one image dominates because it is much brighter or busier, decide whether that is intentional. A small tonal adjustment may help, but forcing every photograph into the same look can remove what made it worth choosing.
Matching paper sizes do not guarantee matching crops
Three A3 sheets are the same size, but the photographs inside them may begin in different shapes. Review each crop independently. Keep important faces and details away from the area a frame or mount will cover.
You can use matching borders to provide a consistent outside shape while allowing the image areas to differ. Decide whether that variation feels balanced before exporting. Our border and mount guide explains which dimensions belong to the sheet.

Measure the complete display
For three equal-width prints in one row, add three widths and two gaps. Three portrait A3 sheets are 29.7cm wide each; with two 5cm gaps, the paper-only arrangement spans 99.1cm.
Frames make the outside dimensions larger, so replace the sheet width with the actual outside frame width when planning the finished wall. Try paper templates before buying frames or choosing a location. Judge the set from the position where you will normally see it.
A vertical stack or a group with one landscape image needs its own measurements. There is no need to use a symmetrical row if another arrangement suits the photographs and the available space.
Keep frame choices practical
YI2C posters are supplied unframed on smooth, pure-white 230gsm matte paper. Choose frames, mounts and glazing separately around the sheet dimensions you order. Matching frame profiles can connect pictures without making every image area identical.
Check the visible opening of each frame or mount. Similar labels do not always establish the same amount of edge coverage. If you already own the frames, use our measurement guide before setting the print size.

What does YI2C’s 3-for-2 offer include?
Qualifying physical canvas and poster prints can be mixed in the offer. The cheapest qualifying print portion is free; optional upgrades, extras and any applicable oversized delivery supplement remain payable. Free digital downloads do not qualify.
At the current A3 poster price of £11.99, three qualifying A3 posters total £23.98, including VAT and standard UK delivery. They are three unframed paper prints. Check the current price page and basket total before ordering.
Check each file before completing the set
Use the best available original for every photograph. One softer file may need a different crop, preparation or size from the others. A consistent display is worth planning, but not at the expense of a recognisable face.
YI2C prepares the artwork individually before printing. If a photo is difficult or you need help preserving a composition, send the images and intended dimensions for advice. Explore photo posters when you are ready to choose the sheets.
Quick answers
Can the three posters use different photographs?
Yes. A set does not need the same image, and qualifying prints in the offer can use different photographs. Review each item’s size and options.
Can I mix canvas and posters?
Yes, both visually and within the qualifying offer. Their texture, depth and framing differ, so plan the complete arrangement. Our format comparison helps with that choice.
Is a set of three the same as a triptych?
A set can be three separate pictures. Splitting one photograph across panels is a different layout problem involving gaps and divisions; see the triptych guide for that approach.
