Star Maps
Which Star Map design should I choose?
By Your Image 2 Canvas
Choose the look you would enjoy having on the wall: an open sky, a Moon portrait, the curve of the Earth or a chart with more celestial detail. All six styles are available in our Star Map creator, with their own presentation choices.

The four named examples here were freshly made in the app. The atmospheric and plum Atlas illustrations come from our published design gallery. The separate workshop photographs show real finished canvases.
Under This Sky
An open sky framed by natural branches, with room for a name and message. Our Alex and Ellis example uses Blue Hour. The design also offers Rose Dusk, Midnight Blue and Warm Afterglow, plus faint constellation lines.
The Moon That Night
A large Moon portrait for a birth, anniversary or another important moment. Its phase is calculated; the crater surface is an artistic interpretation. Our Noah example uses Blue-silver. Midnight, Warm charcoal and Bright white are other choices in this look.

The World Beneath the Stars
The curve of the Earth beneath your sky, with Orbital Blue or Deep Space presentation. Our Parker family example marks a new beginning. The Earth is artistic scenery, rather than a satellite view of your location.

The Sky in Focus
The classic circular sky chart, with optional sky grid and faint constellation lines. Our Mara and Ellis example uses Ink & paper; Midnight and Evergreen are also offered.

The Sky, Remembered
A tree-free sky with five artistic atmospheres: Clear, Mist, Rain, Storm-lit and Sunset. These change the light, colour and cloud treatment. They do not reconstruct the weather on your chosen date.

The Celestial Atlas
A richly detailed chart with an information key and two sky views. Choose The sky above you for an observer-centred overhead view, or explore the northern-sky presentation and its explanation. The published plum-and-gold example shows the more detailed style.

Your moment and words stay personal
Enter the date, local time and confirmed place, then use the wording fields and choices offered by that design. You can change its presentation; the fields are not a freehand drawing tool. Preview the complete artwork before choosing a finish.
Our time and place guide and wording ideas help with those last decisions.
From artwork to a finished canvas
These photographs from our Star Map page show real finished prints and their physical finish. They are existing workshop examples, separate from the fictional designs we made for this guide.

See the Star Map print options when you are ready to choose the format. Posters are supplied unframed; a floating frame is an optional canvas extra.
